New Reel of 2008 Work
2008 Reel from Skylar Schipper on Vimeo.
This is a short reel I cut together of some of the work I did at H2OChurch.tv over the summer of 08. The song is by a friend of mine Russel Edwards. We recorded it one night and it fit the video so I decided to use it.
125 Lbs to Boot 2.1.4
125Lbs 2 Boot in HD from Skylar Schipper on Vimeo.
Second version of an opening title sequence for a documentary that probably isn't going to be made after all.
Shot by Casey Crowdis on a JVC GZ-HD7, and edited by Skylar Schipper.
The song is "The State Of Massachusetts" by Dropkick Murphys.

iTunes HD vs. SD
The images above are taken from CSI NY season 5 episode 17 "Green Piece." They show the difference in quality of the HD and SD video. I personaly think you should save your extra dollar and buy a song or something cause while the collors are richer and the hair is more detailed, its just not that different. Now I have heard that you should atliest get one eppisode of CSI Miami in HD, because of the style it is shot in, so if I do I'll let you know how it looks and maby puut up some of the images.
Also CLICK on the images to see them at full res.
Photoshop CS3 Brushes
Photoshop's built in brushes are cool, but after a quick Google search for "free photoshop brushes" turned up nearly 3million hits, I decided to make use of some of them.
Now when you get to a site that has these catalogs of brushes there will probably be thousands and in each pack about 5-6 brushes. These brushes make hard tasks simple. There are brushes for blood, lettering, flowers, graffiti, and much much more. The above picture was made with a couple of abstract brushes in different colors, and some playing with opacity and blend modes.
I suggest that you all download some brushes and start experimenting.
